Why pray to Saints? Or ‘Heading for Heaven’
On Sunday 2oth October The Cambridge Community hosted an evening of Dominican Study and Prayer between 6.00-9.00 p.m. Eight people attended, and all joined the sisters for Vespers. After Vespers a short talk was given by Sr Tamsin Mary on ‘Why we should pray for the dead and to the saints’. All then partook of a variety of pizzas, accompanied by much laughter. Thereafter a period of meditation ensued, in which Sr Anna Mary read us a selection of ‘Words from the saints’. Finally we all said the Office of Compline, sang the Salve and O Lumen, and said the ‘De profundis’ to conclude. Further events are planned: Watch this space!
