Vocation Discernment weekend, Stone, April 2014

A weekend for young women discerning vocation was held at Stone from April 4th -6th. On Friday Evening there was a slideshow on the history of the Dominicn Order and of our Congregation. On Saturday we heard a talk about 'Prayer as preaching' by Sr Ann Catherine, after which we joined the parish for Mass and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, with the opportunty for confession. On Saturday afternoon the retreatants were given a guided tour of the convent, which is a place of importance for English Catholic history. Then a group of the sisters met with them, and we each said a little about our apostolate and mission. In the evening we watched the very moving film 'Of Gods and Men'. On Sunday morning each retreatant was given the opprtunity to speak in a more formal context with a member of the Vocations' formation team, after which there was Mass, and the end of the organised events.
